Bread Lame

The Bread Lame from Daily Bake enables precise scoring of fresh homemade dough, achieving perfect "ears" and intricate designs with its curved stainless steel blade. It enhances dough rise, creating crisp, artisan style peaks and valleys that enhance bread flavour and texture. Crafted with meticulous craftsmanship and an ergonomic, sustainable beechwood handle for comfortable use, this tool ensures controlled scoring. Before use, ensure the blade is sharp.  Using the curved blade, use gentle pressure and avoid deep cuts. Wet the blade if it sticks to the dough. To achieve the traditional "ear" shape, hold the Bread Lame at a 30° angle and cut approximately 5mm deep. Rotate or change angles when the blade dulls for optimal results.
